Purpose: This loop exercise will help skaters to practice their take-off edge. It will help skaters to feel their weight on the outside edge and over their skating side on the loop take-off. Skaters should maintain pressure on the wall as they bend their knees, keeping their shoulders overtop of their hips. It also helps skaters to think about maintaining a good position with their free arm as some skaters will try to pull their arm around the circle at this point in the jump.
Focus: loop, edge pressure, balance, alignment
