In this video, Signe breaks down an on ice salchow for skaters who are learning it for the first time. She uses a forward outside three turn entrance, as that is the most simple for skaters who are just starting the jump. She breaks down each part of the jump quite slowly so that skaters can work on individual parts of the jump, focusing on body alignment and good edge quality before they add speed and flow. She also breaks the jump into seven individual steps that match with the seven steps used for the salchow in off ice training.
