Level: Advanced
Base exercise: Salchow entrance
Variation: Back outside three turn c-cut to two foot placement
Purpose: The back outside three turn c-cut entrance helps with rhythm and flow into a salchow, and helps skaters warm up knee bend going into the jump. The two foot placement after the c-cut gives the skater more stability and helps some skaters get a deeper inside edge take-off on the skating side.
Focus: Rhythm and flow, quality of edge on take-off
Helps fix: Lack of speed and flow into jump, no increase of edge on take-off, control of free side
Rotational direction demonstrated: Counterclockwise
Equipment: No Equipment
