Purpose: Skaters can use resistance bands to help improve their counter rotation on the take-off of their loop. Using the resistance bands will help skaters to feel the press and activate the required muscles for setting the free arm, shoulder and torso while maintaining a steady and strong skating arm. Skaters should aim to feel the coordination of the upper and lower body as they press into the counter rotation with their hips and upper body. They also need to maintain the control of the free arm as they feel the resistance band pull it back towards the skating side.
Focus: loop, take-off, upper body resistance
