Purpose: Skaters can practice this drill to help with the extension of their free leg on their toe-loop take-off using chasses to mimic the foot placement prior to the extension. This drill is also great for working on toe-loop combinations. Skaters should keep their upper body checked and shoulders stacked over hips as they extend their leg.
Focus: leg extension, upper body check, rhythm and timing, coordination of upper and lower body, toe-loop, combos.
