Exercise: Single leg stationary change foot 1/2 turns with arms up
Purpose: Doing change foot jumps from stationary is helpful for skaters to improve their consistency and their power because they need to generate vertical height and the rotation without the additional help of momentum from the entry. Practicing the jump with the arms above the head is a nice variation, and it can also help skaters feel a more straight and elongated axis in their air position.
Focus: Jump consistency, vertical height, air position axis, arm variation, take-off alignment
Direction: Counterclockwise
